inter-generational exploration of grief & mysticism

In 2016, I wrote an original piece about grief in my lived experience loving young people exposed and lost to violence.

The script was developed in an ensemble of youth and adults and performed for 200 audience members across Chicago.

We led talkbacks each night and held space for participants and audiences to share stories of grief.

The piece was fully choreographed by LA based dancer Heather Coates and scored throughout with original compositions.

We also performed the piece at the invitation of the Midtown International Theatre Festival in New York.
